Dr. Kashi Kafle

Treasurer – HimalEd Foundation

 Dr. Kashi Kafle is a founding member of the HimalEd Foundation and currently serves as the Treasurer of the foundation. Originally from a rural village in Kaski district, Nepal, he is currently an Assistant Professor of Agricultural and International Development Economics at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. In the past, he has worked at the World Bank and the United Nations agencies in Asia and Africa. He holds a PhD in applied economics from the University of Illinois. Dr. Kafle strongly believes that education is a human right, and no one should be stripped of the right to go to school, irrespective of their gender, race, age, or economic status.
