Duration of the Scholarship
The duration of the scholarship awarded through the HimalEd Foundation is determined by the recipient’s current grade level at the time of selection. The scholarship is designed to provide sustained support, continuing annually until the student successfully completes high school. For instance, if a student is selected while in Grade 5, they will be eligible to receive the scholarship for up to seven consecutive years—through Grade 12—provided they maintain satisfactory academic performance and adhere to the program’s expectations each year.
This structure reflects the Foundation’s commitment to long-term educational empowerment rather than short-term assistance. It also underscores the depth of the donor’s contribution, which extends beyond a single academic year and becomes a multi-year investment in a child’s future.
However, the continuation of the scholarship is contingent upon the recipient’s consistent fulfillment of the established criteria. The HimalEd Foundation reserves the right to review each student’s progress annually and may discontinue the scholarship if the recipient fails to meet academic standards, behavioral expectations, or other conditions outlined in the program guidelines. This approach ensures accountability, encourages sustained effort from the students, and honors the generosity of donors by aligning their support with meaningful educational outcomes.
