Scholarship Disbursement

To facilitate the secure and transparent disbursement of scholarship funds, each selected student—under the guidance and support of their school— is required to establish a personal bank account at a recognized financial institution in Nepal. This step ensures that the scholarship can be directly deposited into an account held in the recipient’s name, promoting financial accountability and ease of access. The HimalEd Foundation will transfer the scholarship funds to its designated partner organization in Nepal, which serves as the local implementing body. Upon receiving the funds, the partner organization will allocate the appropriate scholarship amount to each recipient’s bank account, as verified through the documentation provided by the school and the student. This multi-step process is designed to uphold financial integrity, empower students with basic financial literacy, and ensure that the scholarship reaches its intended beneficiary in a timely and efficient manner.
